Depict research

Lighter

Lighter was good because the camera work was very basic and low quality which fits in with the fact that the man is homeless. I also like that a lot of the story is implied, for example the voices in his head at the start. This makes the watcher sympathise with him because his life is obviously rough.

Ideas are illegal

Ideas are illegal was very engaging. There was no dialogue, which made the video more engaging because it made it seem like the world was more real. I liked how the colours were very dark and depressing which added to the tone of the video. I also liked how it was like a really exaggerated version of where today's society is heading.

The door in the wall

the door in the wall was very unsettling. despite it only being 90 seconds it managed to feel very eerie, with the change in the colours when the girl went through the door mixed with the music. At the start the girls voice on the other side of the wall instantly makes the watcher feel uncomfortable.

Pre-set

Pre-set was very interesting. The use of loud distorted sounds gives it a very uneasy and almost creepy. It's very basic, there isn't any dialogue and there isn't any camera movement and it doesn't have a plot, which is good because people can interpret it how they want to, it can mean completely different things for different people.

Sun

Sun is an animation that's presumably about the end of the world were the sun burns everything. It has no dialogue, but it doesn't need to because it's very simple, but engaging. The way it's drawn makes it seem very child friendly and innocent which completely contradicts the story of it.
